About Klaus Veen's Bastards

The digital version of the spiced up, Dutch card game called "Klootzakken" Be the first to shed all your cards. On your turn you play a card, or a double or triple, with a higher value than what's on the table. Can't or won't follow? Then you pass. The first player out becomes President; the last one left holding cards is the Bastard. How it works Card ranking: the higher the card, the stronger, with the 2 as the highest normal card and the Joker beating everything. The ranks: President › Mayor › Citizen › Slave › Bastard. Every new round you swap cards by rank: the Bastard hands their best card to the President and gets a worse one back. Special cards & rules From left to right: - 2 (highest normal card) - Joker (beats everything) - 3 Mirror card (copies whatever is on the table) - 7 (the next player must go 7 or lower) - Jack (as a "pest jack" it deals the next player random cards) - 8 (skips the next player). And the infamous move; Jack in the Box when a double is on the table, slam an equal double on top out of turn and steal the pile. Pick a ready-made preset or build your own house rules: 7-or-lower, Revolution, Skip-8, Pest Jacks and more. Play your way 2 to 8 players, 1v1, or tables of 3-8. Bots to practice or fill up the table. Practice table with a card assistant, Timeless table, or Tournament with a set number of rounds. Online & Steam Online via Steam, host a table and invite friends, or join from the lobby browser. World Chat, controller support and playable on Steam Deck. Profile statistics, achievements and weekly leaderboards. Levels & unlocks, dozens of table themes, avatars and emoji reactions. Gather your friends, deal the cards and make sure you're not the Bastard! Join our Discord, link on the right > GL HF - KlausRead more
